Hi,
I'm Su!

I grew up in Guatemala City > moved to New York for my B.F.A. and M.A. > now, I am based in Austin, TX. I became deeply passionate about UX through a charity project during my undergraduate studies, where I conducted user research to support weavers and their children in Guatemala. My work provided 13 kids with scholarships, school supplies, and uniforms. That's when I knew that I wanted to continue helping by using my skills, leading me to pursue a Master's Degree in UX from NYIT in 2020 and a career at IBM.

After five years at IBM, I’ve gained extensive experience working across products, roles, and countries. I became an Enterprise Design Thinking (EDT) Coach and have facilitated over 30+ workshops worldwide, including in the U.K., and with community organizations such as YWCA Greater Austin, Code2College, UT McCombs School of Business, The Latina Foundation, with more planned this year.

I love to create communities to share our knowledge with others, make our designs stronger, avoid silos, and repetitive workflows, while bringing others along in the journey.

In my free time, you’ll find me being a leader to support my community, lifting very heavy weights, learning something new #neverstoplearning, spending time with my pets, having video calls with my family or traveling.
